Anandaraj, 30, an AIADMK supporter of Sirukadambur in the Ginjee block, died on Friday after he set himself ablaze on October 8.

Police sources said that ever since the imprisonment of the former Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, in the assets case, Ananadaraj, a daily-wager, became moody. When the Karnataka High Court rejected her bail application, he became depressed. While he was alone at home, he set himself ablaze.
