One person was killed and five others were injured in an accident on the By-Pass Road near Eppodhum Vendran on Thursday.
According to police, A. Ganapathi (45) of Anupanadi, Madurai, died after the car he was driving hit a bus that slipped off the road and overturned after the axle got cut.
Madhu (24) of Hyderabad, who travelled in the car, the bus driver, conductor and two passengers in the bus, suffered injuries.
Eppodhum Vendran police have filed a case under Section 304 (a) of the Indian Penal Code.
