Singer hospitalised after being shot at in Mohali

Wanted gangster claims responsibility

Popular Punjabi singer Parmish Verma was hospitalised after being shot at by unidentified assailants in Mohali late of Friday.

The police said the singer was shot at when he was heading home in his car with a friend after attending an event. “...some unidentified persons fired shots at him near his housing society in Mohali. A bullet hit Parmish’s leg,” said Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Chahal. “A case has been registered and investigation is underway, ” he said. Mr. Verma and his friend Kulwant Singh were admitted to a private hospital in Mohali. Both are out of danger.

Wanted gangster, Dilpreet Singh Dhahan, in a Facebook post on Saturday, claimed responsibility for the attack. Members of the Sampat Nehra gang also claimed responsibility for the attack.
