Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will visit the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh headquarters in Nagpur on Thursday to take part in the organisation’s Tritiya Varsha Sangh Shiksha Varg.
The RSS’s annual 25-day event was inaugurated on Monday by RSS Sah-Sarkaryavaha Dattatreya Hosabale.
“He may chair a review meeting of officials of anti-Naxal units at Ravi Bhavan later on in the day,” Chandan Goswami, the chief of BJP publicity wing in Vidrabha area, told The Hindu .
“It is customary for every sister organisation of the Sangh to send a representative to the event. Rajnath is representing the BJP,” an RSS office-bearer said. There is no scheduled meeting with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat or general secretary Bhayyaji Joshi during the Minister’s visit.
“But if Mr. Singh is coming to the RSS headquarters, then he will definitely discuss important national issues with the RSS top brass. The corruption charges levelled against Union Minister Nitin Gadkari are likely to figure in the discussion,” added another RSS source.
