President to visit Shimla

June 11, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:43 am IST - SHIMLA:

Special arrangements are being made in the hill State for the four-day tour of President Pranab Mukherjee beginning on June 11.

The President will stay at the Retreat Building near here. His son Abhijeet Mukherjee, who has come with the advance party, visited the tourist resort of Narkanda on Wednesday.

Security arrangements have been tightened in the town with the deployment of extra police forces. Although the President will land at the Kalyani helipad near the Retreat, the police have curbed movement on most of the roads, shifted thousands of vehicles parked on the roadside, to the suburbs and peripheries.
