One robber held, two on the run

A man allegedly involved in nine cases of robberies and snatchings was arrested from north-west Delhi’s Swaroop Nagar on Saturday.

Accused Sandeep’s latest known involvement in a crime was in mid-October this year when he robbed around Rs. 9 lakh at gunpoint from a rice trader in outer Delhi’s Samaypur Badli.

Sandeep was arrested by a special staff team of the Outer District police after they received a tip-off.

Around Rs. 2 lakh of the money robbed from the trader was reportedly recovered from him.

According to police, two of his accomplices — who are his brothers — are wanted criminals.They are yet to be arrested.
