One dead, seven injured in Yamuna Expressway accident

One person was killed and seven were injured in a road accident on Yamuna Expressway on Sunday, police said.

The accident took place when the car they were travelling collided with a truck.

“Eight injured persons were brought to Kailash Hospital by the Yamuna Expressway ambulance team. One was declared dead and has been identified as Imran. He is around 32 years old,” said a hospital doctor.

“Four of the injured are admitted to ICU while three shifted in ward,” he said.

Police is further investigating the cause of the accident. -- PTI
