The Left party leaders and workers formed a human chain on Tuesday across Bihar over the Muzaffarpur shelter home sexual abuse case and demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi.

The leaders also condemned the Patna High Court’s order restraining media from publishing any development in the case as “unconstitutional and undemocratic”. The people of Bihar have a full right to know about the facts related with the incident”, said CPI-ML General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya

Opposition parties like the Rashtriya Janata Dal, Samajwadi Party, Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and Aam Admi Party too joined the protest.
