Naxals kill youth for being ‘police informer’

Naxals allegedly killed a tribal youth at a village in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker district on Friday for being a ‘police informer’, police said.

The victim identified as Amrit Darro, a resident of Arra village under Amabeda police station limits, was killed with sharp-edged weapons, Kanker Deputy Superintendent of Police Jayant Vaishnav said.

As per preliminary information, a group of Naxals stormed Arra village, around 250 kms from here, and dragged the victim out of his house before killing him, the DSP said. - PTI
