“Missing” VHP leader Togadia found unconscious, hospitalised

Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Dr. Pravin Togadia, who was missing since Monday morning , was found late night on the same day in an unconscious condition. He was admitted in a hospital in Ahmedabad immediately.

According to police, Dr. Togadia was taken to a private hospital in Shahibaug area and different tests were conducted while his situation was stable.

“He is stable now,” a senior police official involved in tracing the location of Dr. Togadia said after he was taken to the hospital.

As soon as news of his alleged detention or arrest spread in the State, hundreds of VHP workers and supporters of Dr. Togadia gathered at Sola police station in Ahmedabad while angry followers even blocked highways in many towns across the State.

In Ahmedabad, VHP workers pelted a municipal bus in Paldi area and staged protests in Surat, Rajkot and Jamnagar.
