“We filed my brother's bail application in the court today. The court has sent a notice to the public prosecutor,” Jaleel Ahmed Gulam Ahmed, brother of the 41-year-old Abrar Ahmed Gulam Ahmed told The Hindu here. He said the bail plea will come up for hearing on October 31.

The nine accused were booked for the blasts by the ATS. Later, Swami Aseemanand confessed to the involvement of Hindu extremists in the blasts which killed 37 persons and injured more than 100.
