A low intensity crude bomb exploded in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, on Monday morning. According to police officials there was no causality and no one got injured in the blast, which happened at a garbage dumping site in Irrigation Colony.

According to the district officials the blast was low in intensity and could have been triggered due to impact of extreme heat on crude explosives in the dumping site.

Assuring that there was nothing to worry, a district official said, "But it is too early to say anything officially."

Senior police officials along with bomb and dog squad have rushed to the spot.

Varanasi is the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
