Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has said that the State Government would soon start two new road projects -- “Northern Peripheral Road” and “Southern Peripheral Road” -- for decongestion of traffic in Gurgaon.
The construction of these new roads would not only ease traffic jams but would also provide excellent connectivity to the daily commuters of Gurgaon in general and others in particular, said Mr. Khattar. He was addressing a press conference at Chandigarh on Saturday on completion of one year of Bharatiya Janata Party Government in Haryana.
A new metro line would also be started between Sector-21 Dwarka, New Delhi and Gurgaon IFFCO chowk, he added.
The Chief Minister informed that it has also been proposed to start a Regional Rapid Rail Transit services at Delhi-Gurgaon-Alwar and Delhi-Sonipat-Panipat. This will reduce dependence of commuters on road based transportation.
He said that a high speed cable car facility would also be provided between Dhaula Kuan and Manesar upto Dharuhera. For this, dialogue is being held with a Spanish company. This mode of transportation could be operational at a speed of upto 60 kilometre per hour. Based on new technology, it would help in decongestion of traffic and provide another transport facility to the people of Haryana and Delhi.
The Chief Minister informed that Union Government is bringing a Bill for setting up Real Estate Regulatory Authority to protect the interest of home buyers and to improve the credibility of real estate sector.
Mr. Khattar also announced the launch of the New Integrated Licensing Policy 2015 for the development of Hyper and High Potential Urban Complexes of Gurgaon-Manesar, Faridabad-Ballabhgarh, Sohna, Sonepat-Kundli, Panipat and Panchkula-Kalka-Pinjore. Calling it a game changer the Chief Minister stated that the policy finds the proper balance between the aspirations of the farmers, the buyers of residential plots or flats, the real estate developers and the government to make a win-win situation for all.
Chief Minister said that while bringing down the area norms for establishing a colony from 100 acres to 25 acres, the policy provides for a global FAR between 1.0 to 1.25 for colony size of 25 acres to 50 acres and above 50 acres respectively.
