Focus on cow, Ganga and Gita: Azam’s wife

November 23, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:40 am IST - Rampur:

Rajya Sabha MP Tanzeem Fatima on Sunday urged people to focus on the issues of cow, Ganga and Bhagwat Gita. She announced that she would contribute Rs 25 lakh to a gaushala in Goverdhan under Mathura district.

Main bhi gau sevak hu (I too serve cows),” Ms Fatima, wife of Uttar Pradesh Minister Azam Khan, told PTI over phone.

“He (Khan) has been championing the cause of cows and the Ganga but now I call upon the secular forces to vigorously concentrate on Gau, Ganga and Gita,” she said.

“Bhagwat Gita teaches us to live together peacefully, even in diversity...It is our commitment to serve cows, clean Ganga and disseminate the message of Gita,” Ms Fatima added. -- PTI
