DTC driver beaten to death in road rage incident

A Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) driver was mercilessly assaulted to death on a street in west Delhi on Sunday morning.

The incident was reported from Mundka and the victim has been identified as one Ashok.

Police officials said the assault was triggered after Ashok accidentally collided with a biker sending the two wheeler crashing to the road and injuring a female passenger sitting pillion on it.

As soon as he recovered, the police said, the driver of the said two wheeler began assaulting Ashok before being joined by three onlookers.

A police team reached the spot some minutes later only to find Ashok lying in a pool of blood. He was rushed to hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Investigation is underway, the police said.
