Another UP Minister sacked over ‘son trouble’

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has removed Minister of State for Home Guards and Vocational Education Narendra Singh Yadav from his Ministry.

Though no reason was given for the dismissal, sources said Mr. Narendra Singh Yadav had allegedly worked against the interests of the Samajwadi Party candidate in the Farrukhabad Lok Sabha constituency.

Mr. Narendra Singh Yadav’s son, Sachin Yadav, is contesting as an Independent candidate there. He was given the party ticket earlier, but was replaced with Rameshwar Yadav, Aliganj MLA. Irked, he filed his papers as an Independent.

Mr. Narendra Singh Yadav and Mr. Rameshwar Yadav are close relatives of Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh.
