Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday said he would take up the responsibility of Chief Minister if the party-led alliance came to power in Maharashtra, and would never run away from it.
“I don’t dream [about the post]. But I will never run away from the responsibility. If I get the responsibility, I will ensure that Maharashtra gets the number one status in the country,” he said at a conclave organised by a television channel here.
Openly expressing his desire to become the Chief Minister for the first time in public, he asked voters to give him a chance in the forthcoming Assembly elections and assured them that they would not regret the decision.
