Few students' organisations demanded strict actions against schools which concealed the fact that they were not recognised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). These schools - Central Institute of Science, Galaxy Senior Secondary School, Akash Institute of Science and Arts, Ram Krishna Higher Secondary School and Asian Co-Educational Institute - have reportedly admitted 2200 students.
Their plan was to allow the students to appear in the class 10 and 12 examinations through two recognised schools, namely MM Higher Secondary School and Little Rose Higher Secondary School. However, the CBSE rejected the plan.
When these schools failed to issue admit cards for the examinations beginning from March 2, the students and their parents vandalised the school properties recently. The principals and teachers are absconding.
