A student of the All-India Science Electronic and Computer Technology here was shot dead on the campus of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences on Friday night.
The blindfolded student, identified as N. Amitkumar, 21, was brought there by some persons. A two-wheeler, supposed to belong to the deceased, was recovered. There has been no claim from any rebel group.
The police have registered a case.
