Rejecting allegations of bias levelled against the Gujarat government, the Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed a plea by 1984-batch IAS officer Pradeep Sharma seeking a CBI probe into five cases registered against him and also transfer of the cases outside Gujarat.

A Bench of Justices Ranjana Desai and N.V. Ramana on Wednesday rejected the plea saying there was “no case made out for transfer to the CBI.” The court said Mr. Sharma failed to substantiate “bias.”
