With an aim to mobilise support for its state-wide bandh on Thursday against increasing prices of essential commodities, the Rashtriya Janata Dal on Wednesday took out torchlight and motorbike processions in the busy localities of the state capital.
Hundreds of party activists riding on motorcycles visited key market areas of the state capital seeking people’s support for Thursday’s bandh.
State RJD president Ramkripal Yadav and General Secretary Ramkripal Yadav participated in the procession.
Later in the evening, torchlight processions were taken out in the market places to gather support from traders for the bandh.
The bandh has been called by RJD chief Lalu Prasad against alleged failure of the central and state governments to rein in skyrocketing prices of essential commodities.
