Bikaner prisoners killed, four injured in gang war

Three prisoners were killed and four others injured in a suspected gang war inside the Bikaner Central Jail on Thursday evening.

The police were searching the barracks for weapon until late in the night and had intensified security.

According to reports, undertrial Balbir Banuda, was shot dead by another jail inmate Jaiprakash who opened fire at him by a country made revolver inside a jail barrack. Another hardcore criminal Anandpal Singh got injured in cross firing.

In retaliation, another inmate Anandpal and his gang members beat up Jaiprakash and three others with stones killing him and Rampal dead on the spot. Anandpal Singh and some others were also injured in firing and as many prisoners sustained injuries in the stone pelting. 

Banuda was the member of Anandpal Singh gang. He was facing charges of murder and was also involved in illegal liquor trade. Banuda, who allegedly killed a Jat Mahasabha leader Gopal Phogawat in 2006, was arrested in Jaipur in 2012.
