A day after the Bombay High Court told Maharashtra Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) that there was enough material in its enquiry reports to register an FIR into a series of graft allegations, which involve the former Minister Chhagan Bhujbal and his kin, Mr. Bhujbal appeared before a team enquiring into the matter.
ACB chief Praveen Dixit confirmed the development but did not divulge any further.
The Hindu had asked him about what transpired in the meeting between the Nationalist Congress Party leader and the Special Investigating Team (SIT) probing the matter and by when would the FIR be registered.
“Mr. Bhujbal appeared before SIT in connection with open enquiry ordered by Hon High court. The FIR would still take some more time,” said Mr. Dixit.
