79 employees found absent from duty in Udhampur

Udhampur District administration has demanded explanation from 79 government employees who were found absent from duty during a surprise check.

A team of officers led by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Angrez Singh Rana on Tuesday paid a surprise visit to various offices of the district and found 79 employees absent from their duty, an official spokesperson said on Wednesday.

The ADC directed the concerned district officers of the respective departments to seek explanation from delinquent officials within a period of three days so that action can be taken against them according to rules, he said.

Mr. Rana directed the officers to maintain regularity and punctuality in the offices besides maintaining all records regarding tours, departure report and movement register, he said.

The ADC asked the officers to work with dedication and sincerity to redress the grievances of the public on priority, the spokesperson said.
