6 Army personnel killed in accident

Six Army personnel were killed and two jawans injured when their vehicle fell into a ditch and a boulder hit it near Sessa in West Kameng district in Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday morning.

Giving details, Public Relations Officer (Defence) Lt Colonel Sombit Ghosh, told The Hindu that the vehicle lost balance and fell into a ditch. The injured were admitted to the Army base hospital at Tezpur.

The vehicle was proceeding from Sessa to Bhalukpung in Arunachal Pradesh, he added.
