3-day Sindhu Darshan festival concludes in Leh

The three-day Sindhu Darshan festival, in which pilgrims from different parts of the country took part, has concluded in Leh town of Ladakh region in Jammu and Kashmir.

The function marking the end of the festival was held last evening at Pologround in Leh town.

The former Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundara Raje was the chief guest at the cultural function in which artists from Ladakh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh enthralled the audience with their performance.

The Sindhu Darshan festival is organised by Sindhu Darshan Samiti every year drawing a large number of people from different parts of the country.

During the festival, Ms. Raje laid the foundation of the Rs. 3 crore Sindhu Bhawan at Chaglamsar near Leh and announced a donation of Rs. 25 lakh for construction of the Bhawan.

Besides, Rs. 10 lakh was donated by Sindhu Samaj of Maharashtra for this purpose, while Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh gave Rs. five and Rs. 10 lakh respectively.

Besides, Ms. Raje and BJP National General Secretary J. P. Nada, the function was attended by senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar.
