The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested a Myanmar national, Khaleed alias Mohammed Khalid (28), from Hyderabad as part of its investigation in the Bardhaman (West Bengal) blast case.

Khalid, a trained explosives expert, was allegedly part of the Rohingya solidarity organisation and had links with Bangladesh-based terror groups. He was running terror camps in the border areas of Bangladesh and Myanmar, an NIA press release stated. Khalid also underwent training organised by the ‘Tehreek-e-Azadi Arakan’ with trainers from ‘Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan,’ the release added.

Incriminating videos, literature relating to poisons, explosives, jihadi pamphlets including ones from Islamic State were recovered from him, the NIA claimed.
