Veteran actor Radhamani passes away

She began her career as a child artiste at the age of 14

Actor T.P. Radhamani, who was active in Malayalam and Tamil films, passed away in Chennai on Sunday. She had been under treatment for cancer.

Radhamani, who began her career as a child artiste at the age of 14, donned big and small roles in around 105 films in Malayalam and Tamil films.

Her contributions to Malayalam cinema were impressive, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said in a condolence message. Cultural Affairs Minister A.K. Balan condoled her death. The State government had recently declared financial assistance for her medical treatment, he recalled.
