: Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan said here on Saturday that he would welcome any investigation into the death of Swami Saswatikananda, former head of the Sivagiri Madhom.

Talking to the media, he said the police had already probed the incident, which had occurred 13 years ago, and found that the death was accidental. He said certain people who wanted to prevent the growth of the Yogam were behind the allegation against him. Mr. Natesan said he did not have any connection whatsoever with the alleged killer.

He said he had insisted on a post-mortem on the body of the Swami.

The SNDP council would decide on the action to be taken against Biju Ramesh, hotelier, who had raised the allegations against him, he said.
