The government has shuffled senior police officers, appointing ADGP Tomin J. Thachankary to the police headquarters in place of ADGP Anil Kant, who has been appointed ADGP in charge of Vigilance.
The government has also appointed Balram Kumar Upadhyay, currently managing director, Kerala Police Housing and Construction Corporation (KPHCC), as IG at the police headquarters. He will continue to hold charge as managing director of the KPHCC.
P. Vijayan, now IG (Ernakulam Range), has been given additional charge as IG (Coastal Police). K. Shefeen Ahamed, now DIG (Administration) at the police headquarters, has been transferred as DIG (Armed Police Battalions). Kalraj Mahesh Kumar, now SP (headquarters), has been posted SP (Railways), Thiruvananthapuram.
Mohamed Shabeer, additional assistant inspector general, police headquarters, has been transferred and posted as SP (CBCID), Thiruvananthapuram. Hari Sankar, assistant inspector general of police (coastal security), has been transferred and posted as additional assistant inspector general of police, police headquarters, Thiruvananthapuram.
