The body of P. Vishnuprasad, 55, Chambolil Veedu, Thazhathuruthil, who had collapsed and died while singing at his daughter’s wedding reception party, was cremated here on Monday.
He was a sub-inspector at the Karamana police station in Thiruvananthapuram. The tragedy occurred the day before his youngest daughter Archa’s marriage, on Saturday around 9.30 p.m.
Daughter in the dark
Vishunuprasad, who was singing a song from the film Amaram , collapsed on the stage midway.
Though he was rushed to a private hospital at Neendakara, he was declared brought dead.
The family hid the news from Archa so that the marriage could take place.
Archa’s marriage was held at the Parimanam temple at Neendakara on Sunday.
Vishnuprasad is survived by his wife Sushama, son Anu Prasad and daughters Arya Prasad and Arsha Prasad.
