All secular forces should unite to fight the communal forces, CPI(M) Polit Bureau member Pinarayi Vijayan has said.
Addressing an election programme ‘Nilapadu -2015,’ organised by the Thrissur Press Club here on Monday, he called upon the people to be careful against campaigns of fundamentalists by using religious places and cow as tools. He said the people who valued secularism were supporting the LDF.
‘‘The Sangh Parivar is unleashing violence by killing people in the name of cow. BJP leaders, who hold high positions, are supporting such violence. The recent protests from the writers in the country are reflections of the emotions of the general public. The common man should take this protest forward,’’ he said.
