NEET aspirant’s father dies of cardiac arrest

Krishnasamy Srinivasan, a native of Tamil Nadu, who had accompanied his son Kasthoori Mahalingham K. to take the NEET here on Sunday died here. He was taken to the District General Hospital where he had died.

Krishnasamy and his son had arrived from Vilakkudi in Thiruvarur on Saturday and were staying at the Hotel Airlines, where his friend worked.

In the morning, when Krishnasamy felt uneasy, his friend dropped the boy to the examination centre at the Nalanda Public School in Thammanam and came back to take his friend to the hospital. However, Krishnasamy died soon after reaching the hospital.

The boy, however, was not aware of the death till the examination was over. The police and the district administration officials accompanied the boy to the hospital.

The district administration had made arrangements to transport the body in an ambulance. Police accompanied the ambulance as a pilot till the State borders. Revenue officials were reported to have accompanied the body up to Krishnasamy’s house.

Relatives of the deceased were informed about the death and had reached the hospital in the afternoon to take home the body.

District Collector Mohammed Y. Safirulla and Deputy Commissioner of Police R. Karuppuswamy had visited the general hospital.
