The second phase of the Union Ministry of Health’s Mission Indradhanush immunisation programme will be held in the district from October 7 to 15. Deputy District Medical Officer P. Babu Chandran said children below the age of five would be covered through the programme.

The second phase was being simultaneously launched in Kottayam, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Palakkad. Dr. Chandran said the aim of Mission Indradhanush was to expand immunisation coverage to all children across India by 2020.
