Beleaguered Kerala Finance Minister K.M. Mani has said that a decision on the demand for his resignation in the wake of adverse remarks from the Kerala High Court in the bar bribery case would be taken after a party leadership meeting in the State capital on Tuesday.

Reacting to reporters questions shortly before leaving for Thiruvananthapuram from Kochi, Mr. Mani said the issue would be discussed in detail in the leadership meeting. To a question whether he saw any conspiracy behind the moves against him, Mr. Mani replied in the affirmative.

Speaking to reporters in the State capital, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said the matter would be discussed threadbare at a meeting of the ruling United Democratic Front (UDF) constituents on Tuesday. "None of the leaders are here. I had spoken to them over phone. They are all coming here tomorrow. We will discuss the issue at our meeting here tomorrow," he told reporters.
