Baby to open Kadammanitta commemoration meet

The District Library Council will be organizing Kadammanitta Ramakrishnan commemoration meet at the BEd Centre at Adoor on March 24 and 25.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, K.R. Suseela, council president, R. Thulaseedharan Pillai, secretary, and C. Subhash, district convenor, said Mr M.A. Baby, former Education Minister, would inaugurate the meet at 10.30 am on March 24.

Prof T.K.G. Nair, State Library Council member, will deliver the keynote address and K.

Ananthagoan, Communist Party of India (Marxist) district secretary, will deliver the commemoration speech.

Oommen Thomas, municipal chairman, and P.B. Harshakumar, Pallickal grama panchayat president, will also address the function.

V.K. Purushothaman Pillai, Kadammanitta Padayani Village president, Prof Kadammanitta Vasudevan Pillai, Dr B. Ravikumar, Dr R. Bhadran, Dr C. Unnikrishnan, Prof V.N. Murali, T.G. Purushothaman Nair, Dr A.G. Oleena, Dr S.S. Sreekumar, all academics and cultural leaders, will address different sessions at the two- day meet.

Mr Chittayam Gopakumar, MLA, will inaugurate the valedictory meet on March 25 afternoon. P. Venugopal, District Collector, will also address the function.
