M.B. Rajesh, MP, has demanded of the State government to provide compensation to the family of Reghu (38), who was beaten to death while travelling in a bus at Perumbavoor on Monday alleging him to be a pickpocket.

After attending the cremation of the deceased here on Wednesday Mr. Rajesh told media persons that the government should provide compensation to the family, a job to the victim’s wife and take responsibility for the education of his two small children.

Mr. Rajesh also condemned the attack of Reghu by copassengers Satheesh, the gunman of K. Sudhakaran, MP and Santhosh of Muvattupuzha. Strong action against the culprits should be taken by the Government, he said.

Mr. Rajesh criticised Mr. Sudhakaran for defending his gunman who mercilessly beat Reghu to death.
