After an eventful tenure of more than one year as Thrissur Collector, T.V. Anupama bid adieu to Thrissur on Thursday. She is stepping down as Thrissur Collector for undergoing training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie.

She planted tree saplings at her last function at the civil station campus on Thursday as part of the ‘Harithabham Civil Station’ project.

The project is meant for making the civil station campus green.

She expressed her happiness and gratitude to the people of Thrissur.

“The support of my colleagues was the energy to fulfill my duties during toughest of times like the floods,” she said.

Right from dealing with the flood situation, soon after she took over charge as Thrissur Collector, to the controversy over her tough stand against poll code violation by Suresh Gopi, the NDA candidate, and ban on elephant Thechikkottukavu Ramachandran for Thrissur Pooram, it was an eventful year for Ms. Anupama in the district.
