The Department of Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering at Sree Budha College of Engineering at Pattoor near Pandalam will be organising a two-day national symposium on `Emerging trends in Biochemical engineering’ at the college auditorium from Friday.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, Prof P.Seema Nair, head of the department and research head, said the symposium, ‘Chembios-2010’, would discuss the current practices and developments in the field of Biochemical Engineering.
Mr P.Venugopal, Alappuzha District Collector, will inaugurate the two-day symposium on Friday forenoon.
Mr S.D.Jeyaprasad, Kerala State Pollution Control Board chairman, Mr Sreeram, senior manager, HPCL, Vishakhapatnam, Dr Sankaran, principal of Amritha School of Engineering at Vallikkavu near Kollam, Mr Sasidharan Kartha of Cochin Minerals and Rutiles Limited, Prof V.K.Sasikumar from Sarudaya College of Engineering, Thrissur, Dr Nisha, scientist attached to NIIST in Thiruvananthapuram and Dr Zacharia former head of CFTRI, Mysore, will address the two-day symposium that concludes on Saturday, Prof Nair said.
