While Mansur’s Vachanas are amongst Akashvani Bengaluru’s rare CD collections witnessing record sales, it is the 40-year-old singularly exceptional recording of 14 Basaveshwara Vachanas from Siddharama Jambaladinni and a rendering of his two classical ragas that would be amongst AIR’s latest CD releases, coming soon. AIR Bengaluru’s next offering will be live monthly music programmes at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan with direct relays to be held during the last week of every month starting May. It starts with Venkatesh Kumar (May) and Mysore Nagaraj and Manjunath (June).
