Some youths torched the house of a primary school teacher, alleging that she had posted pro-Pakistan slogans on social media at Kadabi Shivapur village, near Saundatti in Belagavi district, on Saturday.

The youths from the village gathered in front of her house and set it on fire. A portion of the house, including the roof, suffered damage.

The teacher and her family were not hurt, the police said.

The teacher has been taken into custody. A case has been registered at the Murgod police station.
