Swami Jagadatmananda, author of the famous inspirational Kannada book Badukalu Kaliyiri , died at a private hospital in Mysuru on Thursday. He was 89.

The last rites of the monk, who is from the Sri Ramakrishna Mission, will be performed at the Sri Ramakrishna Sharadashrama of Ponnampet in Kodagu on Friday.

The swami’s body will be kept for public darshan at RIMSE, KRS Road (Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala campus), Mysuru, from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday.

The body will also be kept for darshan at Sri Sharadashrama in Ponnampet from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
