The Government Arts College of Hassan is organising the 87th Mysore University Athletics Meet here for three days from Friday. Hundreds of students from Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar and Hassan districts are participating in the event to be held at the district stadium. Principal of the Arts College D.G. Krishne Gowda said on Wednesday that about 1,200 students and nearly 150 instructors from colleges affiliated to Mysore University are expected to participate in the event. Arrangements had been made for students to stay at Government Arts College and Government First Grade College for Women, he said. The event would be inaugurated by H.S. Prakash Hassan MLA.
