Land identified for Film City near Mysuru

November 17, 2014 03:44 pm | Updated 03:44 pm IST - MYSURU:

Will the long-pending project of establishing a Film City in Mysuru become a reality in the coming years?

It seems so as the Mysuru district administration has identified a 100-acre plot near Kadakola, about 15 km from Mysuru, for the proposed facility.

The Department of Tourism had requested the district administration to find whether there is a single patch of land measuring about 100 acres closer to Mysuru for the Film City project.

Deputy Commissioner C. Shikha told The Hindu that 100 acres of land belonging to KIADB near Kadakola had been identified and the same had been communicated to the department.

“We found the location suitable for the Film City as it is closer to the city and the highway,” she replied.
