At the click of a mouse, devotees can make payments for ‘sevas’ at 11 major temples owned by the Muzrai Department in Karnataka.
Devotees can log on to www.bangaloreone.gov.in and book temple services online.
The Endowment Department, in association with e-Governance Department introduced a novel beneficial initiative for temple devotees of the State. Devotees can book rooms, sevas as well as offering donations to 11 temples.
The 11 temples are: Kolluru Mookambika; Kukke Subramanya; MM Hills, Male Mahadeshwara; Mysuru Chamundeshwari; Nanjangudu Srikanteshwara; Banashankari Devi, Bengaluru; Sri Huligemma Devi; Sri Renuka Yallamma; Mandarti Sri Durga Parameshwari, Udupi; Kateel Sri Durga Parameshwari in Mangaluru; Karnataka State Choultries Thirumala.
All 11 temples earn a revenue of over Rs. one crore a year.
Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs and Muzrai, T.B. Jayachandra launched the online services on Thursday and said devotees can make payments through debit/credit cards or net banking. He said that the e-services would reduce the role of middlemen and harassment to devotees visiting pilgrim centers.
