Cycle rally organised

Students of Karnataka College in Bidar will either walk or cycle to college twice a week from now. Basavaraj Patil Ashtur, announced this during the cycle rally organised as part of Gandhi Jayanti celebrations in Bidar on Friday.

“This is to help students remain fit and to inculcate in them, the habit of simple living,” Dr. Ashtur said. Sudhir Kumar Reddy, Superintendent of Police, who inaugurated the rally, asked students to study the life of the Mahatma and implement at least some of his ideals.

Principal S.V. Juja, convener of Gandhian studies, Shamakant Kulkarni, and others were present.
