A couple died on the spot and their two children suffered serious injuries when the car in which they were travelling collided with a lorry which was coming in the opposite direction near Mudhol cross at Sedam taluk in Kalaburagi district on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Ayjaz Ahmed (36) and his wife Afrus Ahmed (30).
According to the police, the family was returning to their home in Kalaburagi from Hyderabad.
Treatment
The children are undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Sedam town.
A case has been registered.
