CM, Kagodu should sort out spat: Kharge

January 08, 2015 01:38 am | Updated 01:38 am IST - KALABURAGI:

Leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha M. Mallikarjun Kharge refused to be drawn into the spat between a section of Congress leaders and Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Kagodu Thimmappa. All he said was that it was for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Mr. Thimmappa to sit together and sort it out.

Speaking to presspersons in Kalaburagi on Wednesday, Mr. Kharge, who is known to have a long-standing friendship with Mr. Thimmappa, was asked whether he supports the latter in the present controversy.

He said: “I do not support any individual… I support the Congress, and I want the Congress to be strong and united; I don’t want to interfere in the matter.”
