Bengaluru: A couple was killed on the spot after a car rammed their motorcycle in Tavarekere on Thursday.
The deceased Syed Ali (30) and Tabassum (25) were residents of Magadi Town. They were returning home after visiting relatives. They were married four years ago. The accident occurred at around 12.30 p.m. at Vardenahalli Cross. One of their relatives, who was accompanying them on another motorcycle got worried when he could not see them following him. When he went back to check, he found them lying dead on the road.
The car driver sustained injuries in the accident. He was arrested and the car seized. Police are awaiting medical report to ascertain whether he was drunk.
