Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly and BJP State president B.S. Yeddyurappa told reporters on Friday after both the Houses of the legislature were adjourned sine die that he would tour the entire State, especially drought- hit areas, to know the ground realities.
“I will hold the government accountable for the ground reality in the coming budget session,” he said. “Neither the Chief Minister nor any Minister has toured drought-hit districts in the State. They have to go to the farms to know the farmers’ woes and correct lapses in their administration. But none has left Bengaluru. Farm loan waiver has been a mirage; farmers are forced to sell cattle and oxen at give away prices. I will tour the State extensively and hold a mirror to the government,” Mr. Yeddyurappa said.
